FedEx Automatic Rate Tool Application Process

1. attain a fedex account number (they probably already have one or a representative that can give them one)
2. Subscribe. Send an email to websupport@fedex.com requesting to have their Express and/or Ground account number setup in the FedEx test environment. This email must included an attachment containing a few lines of source code. I will create a file that they can attach ([code_snippet.txt]). They will receive an email from them within 24 hours which will allow them to continue.
3. Test. Go to Settings->Options->Shipping Options->FedEx Automatic Rate Calculation Tool and fill out the information choosing "testing" for the phase in the certification process. After they enter their account number they can click the "Get FedEx Meter Number" link. Once you have successfully created the meter number they can begin testing on their dev site.
4. Certification. After they have successfully tested on their dev site, it will need to be certified by FedEx. Please call the FedEx Web Solutions Technical Support Group and request certification instructions.
